Launching the project

WRITTEN BY
NULLPOINT TEAM

We're officially launching the project, a lot of time & energy has went into this. Developing the current tools, building the website & creating the company. We couldn't be happier with the first version of the tool.

It's important to setup the foundational concept behind for this project as a whole. Our first tool and the ones to come share this foundation. The concept being — Null Transparency. Simply put, it means input is equal to output at rest. The tools don't color signal (on the surface) but rather separate your signal into discrete parts, allowing you to be creative with how you define, play & utilize each separation to create something new. This is at the core of our first tool & all to follow.

With that said, our first release.

01 — REANIMATE

REANIMATE takes your audio and pulls it apart into its building blocks — tone, noise & transients — as separate, editable layers. You shape each one on its own, in real time, and when you recombine them untouched you get back the exact original signal, bit for bit.

Automate each part on its own to shape transients, articulate tone, or tame noise as the track moves. Route the lanes to separate busses in your DAW and treat them as fresh raw material for sound design. Feature the tone and transients of a synth and drive them hard into the waveshaper for aggression. Tighten a room-heavy drum bus by pulling the noise down while the transients stay sharp — or do the reverse and lean into the air for a lo-fi feel. And work per lane in Mid/Side to widen noise and ambience while transients stay locked to the center.

Ultimately REANIMATE is a sound design tool as much as a corrective one — the deeper you dig into decomposition, the more the artifacts become the pallette.

What you can get today

Reanimate is out now. Here's what's under the hood.

Three live lanes
Splits any input into tone, noise, and transient — each a real, independent signal path with no shared bus. Solo, process, drive, and route them separately, and they always sum back to the exact source.
Null at rest
Leave it flat and the output is the input, bit-for-bit. Nothing you do is ever destructive, so you can leave it inline across a whole session as a surgical safety net.
DUAL-RESOLUTION ENGINE
Holds sustained tone and sharp transients at once — shaping one never smears the other.
YOU DEFINE THE SPLIT
5 transient styles, 3 stereo modes, 3 mix modes — all automatable in real time.
L/R OR MID/SIDE
Work per lane — widen the air on noise while transients stay locked to the center.
LOW-LATENCY OR HQ
Track and monitor live at low latency, or switch to HQ for the cleanest separation on print.
SEE WHAT YOU HEAR
Sound and visual are always tied together — every move shows up on screen as you make it.
PLATFORMS
Native on Apple Silicon. Windows and Mac, in VST3, AU, and AAX.

Where we go from here

We're a small team building a small number of tools — ones we actually use ourselves. Reanimate is the first of them. If you want to follow what comes next, leave your email below; we'll send dev logs and release notes, and nothing else.
